Australia Post and COVID-19 delivery delays

Australia Post has advised a general delay in parcel deliveries due the the impact Covid-19 has had on reduced flights, social distancing rules and increased online shopping.  They are working continuously to maintain deliveries and apologise for any inconvenience caused.  We are also experiencing international and local supplier delivery delays and order processing and dispatch in our warehouse.  We greatly appreciate your patience at this time.

Reliable delivery

All orders are dispatched with reputable couriers and there is tracking for anyone with an Australian delivery address.

We provide these delivery options for our customers:

$6.95 Standard Courier: The approximate delivery times for standard delivery are (these may take longer during busy periods eg, Christmas):
1-2 business days Sydney
2-4 business days Melbourne/Brisbane
3-5 business days Adelaide
5-7 business days Perth/Hobart/Darwin
Please note: rural areas may take an extra day

$14.95 Express Post: Only available on orders under 5kg and unfortunately we cannot deliver express to PO Boxes. Delivery is generally overnight to main centres, although you should allow two days, particularly at peak times like Christmas. Smaller country areas may take an extra day. Please note, a signature is usually required upon delivery. However to avoid a delay in receiving your order if no one is likely to be home, the parcel can be authorized to be left without a signature at the front door.

Australia Post Air Mail (charged at cost for international customers): International delivery is via Australia Post Air Mail. Please allow up to 21 working days for the delivery of your parcel, although delivery is normally quicker than this to most destinations. Delivery times can vary because of customs regulations, time of year and size and weight of your order. This option automatically appears for delivery to addresses outside Australia.
•    Please note that there may be local taxes/duties payable when you receive your order and that we bear no responsibility for these - we have no way of knowing these implications for all the countries we deliver to!
•    Postage is calculated by weight of the parcel and end destination. For the countries we regularly deliver to, our website will calculate the airmail cost and advise before you finalise your order. If this doesn't occur and you'd like a quote, please use the "Comments" field when ordering to ask us.
•    All orders to the value of AU$60 or more will automatically be insured for a small fee assuming Australia Post offers this service to your country. This enables the parcel to be traced if it goes missing.
•    The Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) will automatically be deducted from your order when processing.
•    No signature is required upon delivery.

Do you stock second hand and out of print books?

Mostly no. We will try to locate out of print titles for customers and we have a variety of specialists we can contact. At the moment we don't stock generally second hand books but there are some titles, such as various workshop manuals that are out of print and there is nothing else available for that vehicle. We will always try to find items to fulfill our customer needs, but do bear in mind that prices can vary quite a lot on out of print items depending upon quality and availability.

Do you sell workshop manuals?

Yes, we have a large range including genuine factory manuals, authorised reprints of genuine factory manuals, Gregorys (Aust), Haynes (UK, USA & Aust), Ellerys (Aust), Chiltons (USA), Clymer (USA) and Intertec (USA). We even have some marine outboard motor manuals.

Can I reserve a title still to be released?

Yes of course. We do this all the time, especially for annual books and DVDs. It can be done for any title and that is why we have the "Future Titles" section in our online catalogue.

Stock availability meanings:-

In Stock - stock is in our warehouse

Available (with a delivery timeframe) - we are temporarily out of stock but, to the best of our knowledge, our supplier should have it in stock so we can order it in for you.  Delivery timeframes are generally from 1-2 days up to 2 weeks.

Future Publication - not yet published, publication month is approximate and can change without notice (we are at the mercy of publishers and if a book is ready on time)

Can I have a bit more information on your DVD Formats?

Television standards differ throughout the world. Australia employs the PAL colour system in video production and television transmission as opposed to the NTSC format standard in the USA. Basically, the PAL system uses more lines to make up a slightly better quality TV picture.

Most of the DVDs we sell are in PAL format, unless otherwise stipulated in the product description on our website. You can also view the back covers of our titles online to confirm the suitability to your equipment. Many recent TVs sold in the Australian market can play both NTSC & PAL formats, but if you are unsure whether your TV is suitable to play the PAL format, please consult your owner's manuals for your equipment before ordering.
